Characters

  • Shimana[1]-Shimana is a teenager ashamed of her own name. When she meets Taiga, she is relieved because she thinks Taiga's name is as weird as hers. She later falls in love with Taiyou and marries him.
  • Taiyou- Taiga is a landlord. Both he and his father are public prosecutors. His father worked on the case of Shimana's mother's death. He, like his father, always wears a kimono. He always supports Asahi, Shimana and Zen, though he himself doesn't like women, thinking they're all weak and can't be trusted. He fell in love with Shimana and later marries her.
  • Zen - Zen studies with Shimana and lives in the same apartment. He loves kung-fu and is obsessed with pandas. He has a father who's sick with asthma, and an older brother (Ken) that quit boxing to take care of the family. Zen's dream is to become a manga artist. He later falls in love with Saeko
  • Asahi - At school, Asahi looks nerdy, always wearing glasses and reading a book. He's a very kind person that always worries about others, sometimes to a ridiculous extent. He's in love with his childhood friend Manami. His dream is to become a lawyer.
