The Field Elm cultivar Ulmus minor 'Pendula' was listed by C. de Vos [1] in Handboek 20, 1887, as Ulmus sativa pendula, and much later by Boom [2] in Ned. Dendr. 1: 158, 1959, as a cultivar.

Description
The tree has slender pendulous branches.
Pests and diseases
'Pendula' is susceptible to Dutch elm disease.
Cultivation
Raised in Belgium in 1863, the young twigs are prone to dieback in hard winters.[1] 'Pendula' is not known to have been introduced to North America.
