Shabbona Township is one of nineteen townships in DeKalb County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,453 and it contained 603 housing units.[1] The township contains the Chief Shabbona Forest Preserve and Shabbona Lake State Park.

Geography
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 35.18 square miles (91.1 km2), of which 34.59 square miles (89.6 km2) (or 98.32%) is land and 0.59 square miles (1.5 km2) (or 1.68%) is water.[1] The township is named after the Potawatomi tribal leader, Chief Shabbona.
