Serpenticaulis wolfei (previously Bulbophyllum wolfei), the fleshy snake orchid, is a species of orchid found in Queensland, Australia, from the Carbine Tableland to Mount Windsor Tableland at altitudes of 900–1,200 metres (3,000–3,900 ft)
Description
Thin, creeping and branched rhizomes. Widely spaced pseudobulbs, 4–9 millimetres (0.16–0.35 in) × 3–5 mm (0.12–0.20 in). Flowers April to September. The nodding flowers are 5–8 mm (0.20–0.31 in) across, cream with dark red stripes on the petals. The leaves are small, thick and fleshy and the labellum is about 5 mm (0.20 in) long.[1]
