The School of Law, Christ University, (SLCU) formerly known as Christ College of Law is a professional undergraduate and graduate school at Christ University. It is situated in Bangalore, India, on the Christ University - Dharmaram College campus.
SLCU is approved by the Bar Council of India to conduct the five year integrated BA LLB and a five year BBA LLB programmes. It also offers three LLM programmes in Constitutional and Administrative Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Intellectual Property and Trade Law apart from MPhil and PhD degree programmes in law. From 2013 it has been offering MA in International Studies.[1]

Admission
Candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks at the final examination are eligible to appear for the entrance examination.[2] The candidates should also be below the age of 21 years as on 1 April of the year for which they are seeking admission. Students are admitted on the basis of an entance test followed by a personal interview and micro presentation. The selection process is conducted in Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Ghaziabad in the month of April and May.
Co-Curricular Programmes
School of Law concentrates in the holistic development of the students. It provides a nurturing ground for the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular development of the students to ensure their effective contribution to the society. Some of the co-curricular activities organised by School of Law are Annual National Conference on Constitutional Law, Model united Nations, Annual National Moot Court Competition. The South Indian Qualifying Rounds for the 55th Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition-2014 was hosted by School of Law in partnership with Surana & Surana International Attorneys, Chennai. School of Law cherishes an enviable tradition of presenting a Shakespearean drama – unabridged – every year. From 2012, the School of Law has been venturing into mega productions with script,music and dance entirely written, composed and created by students. The Shakespearean comedy 'Merchant of Venice' was produced in 2012 and in 2013 the Shakespearean tragedy 'Othello-The Moor of Venice.'

Course Structure
The curriculum for the BA.,LLB[3] course is a mix of arts subjects as well as law subjects. In the first two years, students are taught History, Political Science, Sociology and Economics along with value-added courses such as Introduction to Law and Legal Methods. After the first two years, it is mostly legal subjects that constitute the curriculum. The curriculum for the BBA LLB course is similar, except that management courses such as Human Resource Management, Business Environment and Marketing are conducted in the place of arts subjects. Moreover, unlike other law schools in the country, School of Law offers wide range of elective subjects to the students starting from the second year itself.

Research and Publications
The Journals and Publications Society of School of Law brings out the bi-annual Christ University Law Journal.[4] The Fourth issue (Jan-June 2014) of the journal which was published recently has addressed contemporary issues in different facets of law, both in the national and international spheres. The academia and the student community have made an in-depth analysis of seminal questions of law pertaining to human rights, arbitration, securities laws, interpretation of statutes and so on.
Ranking
It was ranked the 12th best law school in India by the India Today-Nielsen survey 2015.[5] The same survey gave a factual ranking of 6 for 2015.
