Sapho (Daudet play)

Sapho is a play in five acts by French playwrights Alphonse Daudet and Adolphe Belot based upon the 1884 novel of the same name by Daudet. It was presented at the Théâtre du Gymnase and opened on December 18, 1885.
Sapho was performed on the farewell American tour of Sarah Bernhardt. The play entered the repertoire of the Comédie-Française in 1912.
