- November 25 - Saskatchewan Roughriders football team play the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the Grey Cup Championship on November 25, 2007 with a result of 10-7 in favour of the Roughriders at half time.
- November 18 - Saskatchewan Roughriders football team played the BC Lions for the CFL's West Final on November 18, 2007 with a result of 26-17 in favour of the Roughriders. Saskatchewan Roughriders will go on to the Grey Cup playoffs
- November 7 - Twenty-Sixth Provincial General Election was held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 Saskatchewan Party leader Brad Wall was elected as the next Premier of Saskatchewan.
- August 31 - An economic impact assessment of the Juno Awards has been done and findings released state that the awards brought in $9.3 million to Saskatchewan. The assessment was done by the Paradigm Consulting Group. The assessment indicates most of the windfall came from visitors who came to Saskatoon specifically for the event and from the spending of event organizers who staged the Juno Awards and the many supporting events around the city and province. - August 31 - The number of West Nile cases have double in the past week. West Nile has also been the factor in two recent deaths. Saskatchewan Health says that there are 647 confirmed cases. Three deaths are reportedly linked to the virus. The latest deaths are a man and a woman and that they had unlying health problems. In total seven deaths and 947 have been infected this year. This has been the worst year in Saskatchewan for the virus. (Canadian Press)
- August 29 - If the Saskatoon Blades want a first round home ice advantage in the playoffs, than the team will have to improve more than 50 per cent. The Blades will have to improve on the 27 wins last season by winning 40 games this season and finish atop the Eastern Division. Due to the new playoff format, 40 wins is a legitimate number to aim for. (Saskatoon Star Phoenix)
- August 28 - Last week the areas of Hanley, Conquest, Eston, Biggar, Herschel, Landis and Battleford reported frost. As for the northwest part of Saskatchewan, frost was reported in Leask, Glaslyn, Debden, and the Lloydminster areas. - August 28 - Cargill has confirmed that there are plans to build a second canola processing plant. It will be located by its current existing plant in Clavet, Saskatchewan. This will double the capacity of oilseed processing to 1.5 million tonnes annually. (Newswire.ca)
- August 27 - A Saskatchewan Health Authority has fined due to an accident that injured a worker in a machine that folds laundry. $15,000 is what the Sunrise Regional Health Authority is ordered to pay for the incident that happened on July 11, 2006 in Yorkton. (OHSCanada.com)
- August 27 - Production for the second season the hit CBC comedy "Little Mosque on the Prairie" is about complete. But location filming for the 12 episodes will take place well into September. The second season will air on CBC starting in October. (CBC.ca)
- August 27 - More than 80 hopefuls went in to this year's Prince Albert Raiders hockey training camp. But the Western Hockey League (WHL) club would cut the roster down to 38 players after the annual inter-squad game. Team White would pull out a 2-1 win in overtime against Team Black which ended the first part of training camp. Raiders GM Don Clark would admit that the team still has some questions to answer. - August 27 - During this time of the year in 2002, farmers in Saskatchewan were hoping to get some rain as they were in the midst of drought. But that is much the opposite in 2007. - August 27 - Former Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Jamal Richardson who spent 2003-2006 with the club was one of many players cut from NFL teams who have ties to the CFL. Richardson was let go by the Dallas Cowboys. (SportsNet.ca)
- August 27 - Saskatchewan is the only province without controlled tobacco strategy. The Saskatchewan Liberal leader David Karwacki says that the Saskatchewan provincial government should put funds towards combating the high smoking rates. (Regina Leader-Post)
- August 27 - The Ku Klux Klan seem to making their way back to Saskatchewan. In a newspaper interview over the weekend, Christian Waters of Regina confirmed that he is an executive member within the Brotherhood of Klans in North America. - August 26 - There has been much talk about cleaning and reclaiming the old Uranium City nuclear site. With money from the Saskatchewan provincial and Canadian federal government, the cost of cleaning up the site is said to be at $24.5 million. (TheStar.com)
- August 26 - Northern communities will see improved bus service from the Saskatchewan Transit Company (STC). In 2008 STC is offering bus services that will connect La Loche, Buffalo Narrows, Ile a la Crosse and Beauval with Prince Albert. This will be a weekly service. The announcement was made on Wednesday by the minister in charge of the STC, Buckley Belanger. (Meadow Lake Progress)
- August 25 - Former Saskatchewan Roughriders star Kenton Keith's quest to crack the lineup of the Indianapolis Colts continued Saturday. Keith ran the ball 3 times for 12 yards as the Colts pounded the Detroit Lions 37-10. NFL teams must cut rosters down on Tuesday but it is expected Keith will survive the first round of cuts. - August 23 - A spokeswoman for the Saskatchewan Department of Highways and Tran`sportation says a portion of Highway 16 may have to be relocated because of flood damage. Highway officials say it will take at least a month to fix the damage to Highway 16. On Thursday, the department announced that severe thunderstorms earlier in the week caused part of Highway 16, known as the Yellowhead, to cave in. The damage occurred 5.5 kilometres west of Langham on two lanes of the four-lane highway. Langham is 30 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon. Department spokeswoman Kirsten Leatherdale said the side slope of the roadbed on part of the highway has dropped approximately two metres. (CBC Saskatchewan)
- August 23 - West Nile Virus case numbers have quadrupled in Saskatchewan in the span of a week. The number jumped from 82 to 339. Even though the summer is winding down, officials says that the risk for West Nile is not. The urban centres of Regina and Saskatoon have the highest number of reported cases. Each region is sitting at close to a hundred...the Heartland Health Region in the west central part of the province has also topped 50. A complete breakdown is available on the Saskatchewan health website at www.health.gov.sk.ca. The virus is believed to have caused one death. An elderly woman from the Estevan Weyburn area has died after contracting West Nile. Seven others have the severe neurological symptoms associated with the disease. Health officials say people over age fifty and those with a weakened immune system are most at risk. (MySask.com)
- August 23 - Arlen Jule has decided against return to politics. The former Saskatchewan Party MLA was expected to run against Pat Atkinson in the Saskatoon Nutana riding. Jule has announced that is not the case anymore. Jule will be travelling to Ghana to work on a rural community project. The Saskatchewan Party will hold a nomination for that riding on September 14.
