Patrick Windhorst is a Republican member-elect of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 118th district. The 118th district, located in Southern Illinois, includes all of Alexander, Pulaski, Massac, Pope, Hardin, Johnson, Saline, and Galatin counties and parts of Union, Jackson and Hamilton counties.[1]
Windhorst defeated appointed Democratic incumbent Natalie Phelps Finnie in the 2018 general election by a margin of 15.2 percentage points. Prior to his election to the Illinois House of Representatives, he was the elected State's Attorney for Massac County.[2]
Windhorst, of Metropolis, Illinois, is an attorney who graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and the Southern Illinois University School of Law.[3]
