Oxalis is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California.[1] It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 6.5 miles (10 km) northwest of Firebaugh,[2] at an elevation of 138 feet (42 m).[1]
Officials of the railroad bestowed the name Oxalis, which is the Latin name for wood sorrel.[2]
