Ophthalmotilapia is a small genus of four cichlid species endemic to Lake Tanganyika in east Africa.

There are currently four recognized species in this genus:[1]

- Ophthalmotilapia heterodonta (Poll & Matthes, 1962)
- Ophthalmotilapia nasuta (Poll & Matthes, 1962)
