Olivia Nuzzi (January 6, 1993) is a political reporter for The Daily Beast, currently covering the Donald Trump presidential campaign.

Career

While attending Fordham University in 2013, Nuzzi rose to prominence as an intern with the Anthony Weiner New York City mayoral campaign.[1]

During her brief stint, she was hired as a full-time staff writer by NSFWcorp magazine, and described her experiences as an intern on the Weiner campaign.[2]

The New York Daily News commissioned her to a write a follow-up article about the campaign, which became a bombshell front page story. In an interview with Talking Points Memo, Weiner spokeswoman Barbara Morgan called Nuzzi a “slutbag” along with a string of other sexist monikers.[2]

Nuzzi was hired by The Daily Beast in 2014.[3] There, in addition to Donald Trump, she extensively covered the presidential campaigns of Rand Paul and Chris Christie. She has also written for Politico Magazine[4] and New York Magazine.[5]

Personal Life

Nuzzi was born in New York City and raised in Red Bank, New Jersey. She lives in Washington, D.C.[6]

In 2015, Nuzzi wrote about the sudden death of her father, John Nuzzi, for The Daily Beast.[7]
