Madhira Subbanna Deekshitulu

Madhira Subbanna Deekshitulu (1868-1928) is the creator of the famous Kasi Majilee Kathalu, series of short stories in Telugu language, known for their wit and humor.

He is a famous Telugu author who at the peak of his career, sold the rights to his stories to a publisher in Rajahmundry.

Four of his stories have been made into Telugu feature films:[1]

1) Gulebakavali Katha (1962) (uncredited) (novel Kasimajili Kathalu)

2) Sahasra Siracheda Apoorva Chinthamani (1960) (from Kasi Majili Kathalu) (uncredited)

3) Patala Bhairavi (1951) (uncredited)

4) Navvite Navaratnalu (1951) (uncredited) (novel Kaasi Majili Kathalu)
