Lea Stevens

Lea Stevens (born 15 June 1947) is an Australian politician and was the sitting Labor party member for the electoral district of Little Para from the 1994 Elizabeth by-election to the 2010 state election.

Previous to her election into politics, Stevens gained her Bachelor of Science and Diploma of Education at the University of Adelaide. After her studies she was a high school principal.

Stevens held the portfolio of Minister for Health from early 2002. She resigned from her health portfolio in late 2005, for personal health reasons. The 2006 election saw Stevens increase her margin to 16.7%.

Stevens retired at the 2010 state election and was replaced by Lee Odenwalder.[1]
