History
Since October 4, 2015, the group has its own Sunday television show titled Keyakitte, Kakenai? (欅って、書けない??) on TV Tokyo.[3] In this show, Keyakizaka46 announced a new member Neru Nagahama (長濱ねる?) on November 29, 2015.[4] She debuted as a member of their under group Hiragana Keyaki (けやき坂46(ひらがなけやき)?) and it's audition was started.[5]
On December 16, 2015, the group gave its first performance. It took place at the Fuji TV music show FNS Music Festival. The center position in the choreography was held by youngest member Yurina Hirate (平手友梨奈?), 14 at the time.[6]
In February 2016 it was revealed that Keyakizaka46 would release their first single on April 6, 2016.[7] Its title was later revealed to be "Silent Majority".[8] It was also revealed that the title song would be used in a TV commercial for a mobile application named Mechakari.[9]
On May 11, 2016, it was announced that 11 girls won the final round of the Hiragana Keyaki audition.[10]
