Humacao Airport (IATA: HUC, FAA LID: X63) is a public use airport owned by the Puerto Rico Ports Authority and located one nautical mile (1.85 km) southeast of the central business district of Humacao, a city in Puerto Rico.[1]
Because of the new José Aponte de la Torre Airport in Ceiba which opened in November 2008, Humacao Airport and Fajardo Airport are scheduled to shut down operations.[citation needed] However, as of July 2009, Humacao Airport is still listed as an active airport by the Federal Aviation Administration.[1]
