Gilbert Ted Carson (July 8, 1901 – October 27, 1988) was the eighth head college football coach for the Eastern Illinois University Panthers located in Charleston, Illinois and he held that position for five seasons, from 1936 until 1941. His career coaching record at Eastern Illinois was 17 wins, 19 losses, and 3 ties. This ranks him seventh at Eastern Illinois in total wins and ninth at Eastern Illinois in winning percentage.[1] He married Maxine Powell.[2]
