The Future Institute of Engineering and Management (FIEM), Kolkata, India, is a private engineering and management college in West Bengal. It is an affiliate[1] institute of the West Bengal University of Technology and AICTE Approved (All India Council for Technical Education). The college was established in 2001. It is situated in Sonarpur Station Road, Kolkata, West Bengal, India - 700 150. This institute is often ranked among the top five private engineering colleges inWest Bengal.[citation needed]

History
Future Institute of Engineering and Management was established in 2001 with a view to create highly trained technical manpower in different disciplines of Engineering and Technology and professional managers in the fields of general management.
Campus
Facilities include a resourceful library with fully equipped audio-visual aids, medical facilities, a proctor system for guidance and counselling for students and an efficient anti-ragging committee.

The Institute offers undergraduate B.Tech courses with majors in:

- Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

All courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).[2] The institute also has an MOU with Infosys the Campus Connect Programme. It also has a special collaboration with Jadavpur University for high-end workshops along with collaboration with North Dakota State University, USA for the award of scholarship at the post-graduate level.
Training and Placements
The Training and Placement department of FIEM engages highly qualified and experienced people from academics and industry and offers opportunities for students through various industry visits and campus recruitments.[3]
Fests
- Phoenix - This is a three-day annual techno-management Fest which attracts students from schools and colleges from around Kolkata to compete and showcase their talents. The fest has garnered an audience of nearly 4000 students.
Clubs
- Explorica - Official activity club of FIEM (www.explorica.in) which engages students in various technical activities like robotics etc. and also non-technical activities like quiz debates, photography etc.
- Culrav - The cultural club of FIEM which provides platform for student in various cultural activities like singing, dancing, drama, etc.
- The Explorer - An e-magazine titled The Explorer is also published online every season which consists of a variety of articles from the college students.
