Summary

An example of what can happen if ligatures are not used with generously proportioned fonts. In this case, using Gill Sans Light without ligatures, the 'f' and 'i' of 'Infinity' have clearly collided rather than merged. Microsoft Word does not automatically enable ligatures; this can be avoided by selecting 'Font', 'Advanced', and enabling ligatures.
