Ensemble Citoyens (EC; Citizens Together) is an alliance of political parties in France, founded in November 2021 by the presidential majority.[1] The coalition includes La République En Marche, the Democratic Movement, Agir, Territories of Progress, Horizons, and En commun. Prime Minister of France Jean Castex is also affiliated with the coalition.[2]
The political alliance includes Christian democrats, conservative liberals, social liberals, Third Way social democrats, and green liberals, and describes itself as moderate.[citation needed] Some media consider it as a modern incarnation of Valéry Giscard d'Estaing's Union for French Democracy (UDF), founded in 1978.[3]
