Emam-Ali Habibi Goudarzi (Persian: امامعلی حبیبی گودرزی, born May 13, 1931, in Babol ,Darzikola-e-Akhundi, a village 3 km from Babol, Mazandaran, Iran) [1] is an Iranian wrestler who competed in Freestyle at the 1956 Summer Olympics.
Habibi also took 4th at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, losing one of his matches by fall to Douglas Blubaugh of the United States. There is a famous poster (among wrestlers) of Habibi being pinned by Blubaugh, because he was so well-respected and this was a major upset at the time. Habibi now resides in Babol , Mazandaran. His nickname was "The Tiger of Mazandaran" (Persian: ببر مازندران). He is listed in the FILA wrestling hall of fame.
