Elbasan Rashani (born 9 May 1993), commonly known as Elba Rashani, is a Kosovar footballer playing for the Norwegian Tippeligaen club Rosenborg on loan from Brøndby as a forward. He represented Norway since U17 until U21, before representing the Kosovo national football team.

Club career

Odd

He was born in Sweden to Kosovar Albanian emigrants, but grew up in Kragerø and Bø i Telemark and played for Skarphedin before he joined the then named football club Odd Grenland ahead of the 2010 season.[1][2]

Brøndby

Season 2014-15

On 24 Juli 2014 Rashani made a €660K transfer from the Norwegian side Odd and signed a four-year-contract with the Danish club Brøndby which ties him to the club until the summer 2018. Elba was handed jersey number 14.[3][4] On 31 July Rashani made his Europa League debut when he was brought in for the final fourteen minutes in the 3-0 away defeat against the Belgium side Club Brugge.

International

Rashani was born in Sweden to Kosovar-Albanian parents, and was brought up in Norway. He represented Norway as a youth. In July 2015 Rashani told the Albanian media that he is looking forward to a call up from Albania's coach Gianni de Biasi.[5] However, he ended up getting a callup with the Kosovo national football team and made his debut, where he also scored his debut goal, in a friendly 2-2 tie with Albania.[6]
