In Indonesia, a district (Indonesian: distrik; used in Papua and West-Papua) or sub-district (Indonesian: kecamatan; used in the rest of Indonesia)[1] is a subdivision of regencies (kabupaten) and cities (kota). A (sub-)district is itself divided into administrative villages (kelurahan).
