The College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR), established in 1907, is the founding college of the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. CTAHR is dedicated to "actively help[ing] Hawai‘i diversify its economy, ensure a sustainable environment, and strengthen its communities, and will be the premier resource for tropical agricultural systems and natural resource management in the Asia-Pacific region" and to prepare "students and all citizens of Hawai‘i for life in the global community through research and educational programs supporting tropical agricultural systems that foster viable communities, a diversified economy, and a healthy environment."[1]

The College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources is a prime educational establishment in tropical agriculture, food science and human nutrition, textiles and clothing, and human resources. It prepares students for careers as scientists, business leaders, family development specialists, fashion designers, merchandisers, nutritionists, and policy makers. CTAHR offers undergraduate and graduate courses on-campus as well as off-campus, non-educational programs.
