Following the car accident, Dr. Manning suffered from head trauma and Dr. Halstead places blame on himself. Dr. Rhodes continues to place blame on Dr. Bekkar for his father’s death. Later on, with the overdose medication can be traceable, Dr. Bekkar takes her own life implying that she’s responsible. Meanwhile, Dr. Choi and April deal with a patient who maybe be blind, Maggie receives devastating news about her health. At the end of the episode, Dr. Rhodes makes the decision to leave Chicago after what he has been though. | ||||||

Production
Cast changes
On April 19, 2019, NBC announced that Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling would depart the series at the end of the season due to creative reasons.[5] Donnell will appear in the season 5 premiere to wrap up his character's storyline.[6]
