"Candy" is the final single from American hip-hop artist Foxy Brown's third album Broken Silence.

Single information

"Candy" was officially released on August 21, 2001[3] in the United States. The original lyrics of the song were raunchier than the album edit. The record label later removed all expletives from the record, making it the only censored song on the Broken Silence album.

The single was somewhat successful, considering the fact that it had no music video- yet, it managed to chart at 48 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Track Chart and number 10 on the Rap charts, though it did the Billboard Hot 100.[4] "Candy" is the highest charted song from the album. The song was also featured on many soundtracks. There was a rumor that Foxy Brown did not want to promote the record because she did not want to promote a popular sound, but that rumor is unfounded[citation needed].
