The Alameda / Oakland Ferry is operated by Blue & Gold Fleet. The company's vessels used to service Alcatraz however that service is no longer operated. Blue & Gold Fleet is the largest ferry and land tour transportation provider. The Blue & Gold Fleet transports approximately 2 and a half million passengers annually.[1]

History
- 1979- The Blue & Gold Fleet is a provider of services that revolve around ferry and water excursion. It began on San Francisco's historic waterfront. It started with only three passenger vessels that allowed individuals to cruise from Pier 39's West Marina.
- 1991- The company broadened when it included the Alameda/Oakland commuter ferry service.
- 1994 - The Blue & Gold Fleet acquired the commuter ferry service between San Francisco and Vallejo with a contract with the City of Vallejo.
- 1997- The Blue & Gold Fleet acquired most of Crowley Maritime’s Red & White Fleet.
- 2011- The Blue & Gold Fleet was chosen to operate the San Francisco Bay Ferry System by the Water Emergency Transportation Authority.[1]

- South end of Tiburon Boulevard in Downtown Tiburon at the Tiburon Ferry Terminal
