Ballybannan

Ballybannon is a townland on the outskirts of the village of Annsborough close to the town of Castlewellan, County Down, Northern Ireland. The area contains some of the most majestic views[citation needed] of the Mourne Mountains. The townland covers the road, Ballybannon and some houses on the adjoining Wateresk Road. There is also a recognisable water works house in the townland. The new Mighty Maize Maze which is a fun farm park is also located in the townland. Near to the townland is the small village of Maghera, where there is a country pub, the Maghera Inn.
