Atanas Shopov (born 4 October 1951) is a Bulgarian former weightlifter who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and in the 1976 Summer Olympics.[1]
Biography
Born October 4, 1951 in the small village Dobrovnitza near Pazardzhik. At summer Olympic games in Munich in 1972 wins silver medal in category until 90 kg. At the next Olympic games in Montreal wins bronze medal. Wins bronze at European weightlifting championship in Sofia in 1971 and silver at European championship in 1972. European bronze again in 1973.
