Alexei Vladimirovich Sokolov (Russian: Алексей Владимирович Соколов; born 15 January 1979) is a Russian former pair skater. Early in his career, he skated with Svetlana Nikolaeva and Julia Shapiro. Sokolov found his most success paired with Julia Obertas from 2000 to 2003. After ending his competitive career, he began coaching alongside Natalia Pavlova in Moscow.[1] He later returned to Saint Petersburg where he coaches Oksana Nagalati / Maxim Bobrov.[2]
