NewsWatch Aksyon Balita (Filipino for "NewsWatch Action News", formerly RPN Aksyon News later became RPN Aksyon Balita) is the final Filipino-language newscast and the late afternoon news broadcast of Radio Philippines Network in the Philippines. Launched in 2006, it is broadcast at 5:00 PM Philippine time (UTC+8).
It was created as a spin-off of the network's longest-running news program, NewsWatch. With the latter program's final episode on January 4, 2008, the Filipino edition dropped the "NewsWatch" tag and is retitled to, simply, Aksyon Balita, apparently to complement the network's new English newscast, i-Watch News.

Background
Tulfo era
It was first aired on April 17, 2006 as a replacement for Arangkada Balita and was anchored by former ABS-CBN news anchor and reporter Erwin Tulfo.
Tulfo-Sison-Bendijo era
Months ago he was joined by Aljo Bendijo and Connie Sison who were Tulfo's fellow news anchors from ABS-CBN. But, Tulfo resigned as its news anchor because of the controversy of his brothers Raffy and Mon with First Gentleman Mike Arroyo.
Sison-Bendijo-Morales era
Afterwards, Tulfo was replaced by Jake Morales until Sison and Bendijo remained as its main anchors.
Bendijo-Sambilay era (2007)
In April 9, 2007, Sison moved to GMA Network and replaced by Vikki Sambilay. Bendijo and Sambilay became the newscast's main anchors until Sambilay went solo, when Bendijo moved to NBN now PTV.
Sambilay-Yan era and final years (2007-2008)
On October 15, 2007, Sambilay was joined by Bobby Yan who was a former ABS-CBN TV Host, San Juan City councilor, the current host of One Morning and the brother of the late Movie and TV star Rico Yan. On January 4, 2008, it went its final airing. It was replaced by NewsWatch which went back on the air on January 7, 2008.
