The 1993-94 NBA season was the Spurs' 18th season in the NBA and 27th season as a franchise.[1] It was also their first season at the Alamodome. During the offseason, the Spurs traded Sean Elliott to the Detroit Pistons for Dennis Rodman. Rodman led the league with 17.6 rebounds per game as the Spurs finished second in the Midwest Division with a 55-27 record. David Robinson captured the scoring title leading the league with 29.8 points per game. However, in the first round of the playoffs, Rodman became a distraction as he scuffled with head coach John Lucas as the Spurs lost to the fifth seeded Utah Jazz in four games.
