The 1991–92 Seattle SuperSonics season was the 24th season of the Seattle SuperSonics in the National Basketball Association (NBA). It was George Karl's first season as head coach of the SuperSonics, returning after a four-year absence from coaching in the NBA, to replace K. C. Jones. The SuperSonics finished the season with a 47–35 record, reaching the playoffs as the sixth seed in the Western Conference. In the first round, they defeated the third seed Golden State Warriors in four games, but then lost the Conference semifinals to the Utah Jazz in five games.
