1982 Cannes Film Festival

The 35th Cannes Film Festival was held on May 14–26. The Palme d'Or was jointly awarded to Missing by Costa Gavras and Yol by Şerif Gören and Yılmaz Güney.[1][2]
The festival opened with Intolerance, directed by D. W. Griffith and closed with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, directed by Steven Spielberg.[3][4][5][6]
