First Under the Wire is the fifth album by Australian group, Little River Band, which was released in July 1979 by Capitol Records. It peaked at No. 2 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart.[2] It was the band's only United States top ten album and was certified platinum status according to RIAA.[3] The album included two top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits in "Lonesome Loser" and "Cool Change".[4]

On 30 July 2010, the album became available for download.
