Summary

Steelmark logo, originated by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Steel" class="extiw" title="w:U.S. Steel">U. S. Steel</a> and used by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Iron_and_Steel_Institute" class="extiw" title="w:American Iron and Steel Institute">AISI</a> to promote the steel industry. The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pittsburgh_Steelers" class="extiw" title="w:Pittsburgh Steelers">Pittsburgh Steelers</a>' logo is based on the Steelmark logo belonging to the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Iron_and_Steel_Institute" class="extiw" title="w:American Iron and Steel Institute">American Iron and Steel Institute</a>. The Steelmark was also used briefly by the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pittsburgh_Steelers" class="extiw" title="w:Pittsburgh Steelers">Pittsburgh Steelers</a> as a helmet logo. Adapted from sample images appearing in various locations on the World Wide Web. Created by contributor, using True BASIC, AutoCAD 14, Adobe Illustrator 9 running on Windows 98SE and Inkscape 0.46 on Ubuntu 8.10 (Linux).
