On July 7, 1905, an 11 car train was dispatched over the 2-foot (61 cm) gauge tracks of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_Tunnel_Company" class="extiw" title="en:Chicago Tunnel Company">Illinois Tunnel Company</a> from the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erie_Railroad" class="extiw" title="en:Erie Railroad">Erie</a> freight house.
