Summary

Some typical plants in Norwegian mountains close to the Swedish border.

  • On top is some very low <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Juniperus_communis" title="Juniperus communis">Juniperus communis</a>. The greyish green bushes are <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Salix_lapponum" title="Salix lapponum">Salix lapponum</a>. Under that to the left is a little <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Polypodium_vulgare" title="Polypodium vulgare">Polypodium vulgare</a>, and to the right, <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Betula_nana" title="Betula nana">Betula nana</a>. Then there is a lot of autumn red <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Vaccinium_myrtillus" title="Vaccinium myrtillus">Vaccinium myrtillus</a> (you can see the very blueberries if you view original size). Under and mixed with blueberry there is some <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Empetrum_nigrum" title="Empetrum nigrum">Empetrum nigrum</a>.
