It is one of the <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dieppe_maps&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Dieppe maps (page does not exist)">Dieppe maps</a>, which are commonly put forward as evidence for the theory that the Portuguese discovered Australia in the 16th century.
