The XD falcon got a facelift; the XE with a new nose; the bonnet rolling over to meet a smaller 2 bar grille, also new taillights, it also got new 4 link suspension, the commercials retaining the old leaf. V8 production ended in 1982. The Ghia got Snowflake alloys and wider headlights Built from March 1982-Oct 1984 Engines; 3.3 and 4.1 6s or 4.9 and 5.8 V8s (no V8s after 82) Sedan; GL, Fairmont, Fairmont Ghia and ESP Wagon; GL or Fairmont Ute Standard or GL Van; Standard or GL S Pac option on GL (Fog lamps, Styled wheels, spoiler, pinstripe)
