Director's Kut Productions is a television production company based in Mumbai.[1] Established in 2007, it produces television shows for various channels like Star Plus, Colors TV, Sony TV, Life OK. They have produced popular Indian serials like Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Amrit Manthan & Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.[2]
In 1999, Rajan Shahi made his directorial debut with series, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, he went on to direct hit series including Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Hamare Tumhare, Rishtey, Kareena Kareena, Reth, Mamtaa, Millee, Virasaat and Saathi Re. Thereafter he got to work as a series director for Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan and Maayaka. Eventually, he became a television producer and started his own production company in 2007. His first series as producer was Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai on Star Plus, followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.[3]
They have made more shows like Chand Chupa Badal Mein, on Star Plus and Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg and Havan (TV series) on colors that the shows did not do well. As well Kuch Toh Log Kahenge will end for low ratings. But their most successful work was with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
